Again the president has been issued an ultimatum to sack two officials in his cabinet.
The ultimatum given was given by a new militant group, Niger Delta Warriors.
The group said the president must sack the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal with 14 days.
The new group in a statement signed by its spokesperson Hart Bradford also threatened to embark on a massive protest in major cities across Nigeria if Magu and Lawal are not sacked.
“We are giving the President 14 days ultimatum to sack the SGF and the EFCC chairman, otherwise we shall have no option than to carry out mass protest in Abuja and other cities across the country until the SGF and EFCC chairman leave office,” Bradford said.
Bradford urged the federal government to desist from denigrating the family of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
He said the probe on Patience Jonathan by the EFCC is a direct attack on the entire family.
