Nigeria Police Force bans  Public Jubilation And Demonstrations
The Kogi state police command announced the ban at a press conference in state capital, Lokoja on Friday, September 16 as the state awaits Supreme Court judgment on the appeals of governorship election petitions.

????????????????????????????????????

Newspaper reports that the highest court in Nigeria fixed Tuesday, September 20 for ruling in the two appeal cases against the election of Governor Yahaya Bello and the state’s commissioner of police, Malam Abdullahi Chafe says everyone must stay calm to avoid throwing the state into pandemonium.

According to Chafe, the command is working based on intelligence reports at its disposal which revealed that some hoodlums were planning to disturb the peace of the state if the Supreme Court judgment should not go their way. Chafe warned that nobody or group that caused break down of public law and order would be made to face the music.
“Kogi State is greater than any body. Police will not waist anytime in dealing with law breakers within the constitutional requirement,” he said. He urged various political parties to call their members and supporters to order so that peace would reign after the delivery of judgment.
