Unexploded ordinance found at a building in Enugu

The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force through its operatives of the Explosive Ordinance Department (Anti Bomb Unit) yesterday successfully recovered from a building site, an unexploded ordinance which was part of the civil war arsenal buried under the ground in the war affected areas.
According to the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) DSP Ebere  Amariazu, the object was recovered from the building site located around the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Hostel axis of ogui in Enugu on Saturday afternoon following discovery by the builders working at the site.
According to reports, the builders on sighting the object, promptly alerted the Police who arrived promptly and evacuated the ordinance.
Meanwhile, area has been rendered safe and the workers returned to the construction site.
