Mass Defection In Abia: " PDP in Panic Mode"– APC Chieftain

Ahead of this year’s general elections, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ohafia Abia State, Dr Anya Inyima Kalu, has said the mass defection of the People’s Democratic Party members to the APC in Asaga Ohafia during the campaign rally of the Abia North senatorial District candidate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has sent ‘PDP jittery’ .

Dr. Anya maintained that the APC has high profile individuals in Asaga and Ohafia as a whole and will definitely emerge victorious.

Igbere TV reports that Dr. Anya who is also the party’s candidate for Ohafia South state Constituency of Abia House of Assembly made this known while speaking with journalists on Friday.

He insisted that the entire Ohafia is for APC, while admitting that the ruling party in the state, the PDP has bigwigs in the area but said they are jittery. “APC has dominated the entire Ohafor, entire Asaga and Ohafia as a whole. All other PDP leaders know they’re losing grip in Asaga to the APC” he added.

He assured Abians that if elected, the APC government will introduce a free medical care for anyone in the state above the age of 65 in line with the policy of the party in all other states especially in Lagos and other South Western states where the party holds swear.

“In all the APC states, though we’ve not been opportuned to have APC government in Abia state, there is free medical care for all the women during antenatal and postnatal. That’s what happens in Lagos and other South Western states where APC government is in place. The same thing will happen in Abia State. Once we have APC government in Abia state, there will be free medical care for anyone that is above 65 years. That is in APC manifesto” he assured.

He said that in Ohafia South, there is a gap between the dividends of democracy and the number of representation the area has had in the past. He said he is in the race to Abia Assembly to bridge this gap so that the people of Ohafia South will reap more dividends of democracy.

He urged the masses to come out and vote for the candidates of APC in February.
