The All Progressives Congress candidate for Aba North /South Federal Constituency, Mascot Uzor Kalu has lambasted Hon. Ossy Prestige for failing to attract projects to the Constituency despite having the opportunity to do so.
Hon. Ossy is the House of Representatives member representing Aba North /South at the National Assembly.
Mascot Kalu said Hon. Ossy Prestige prefers his Okirika business in China to attracting quality projects.
He also said that there are a lot of things that Aba North /South lack as a constituency that are covered up by some unimportant charades he(Ossy) puts up in the society.
Kalu made this known in a statement forwarded to Igbere TV by his media team on Monday.
The statement reads in full,
“Ossy Prestige may not be running an open government as erroneously perceived by our people. There are a lot of things we lack as a constituency that are covered up by some unimportant charades he puts up in the society.”
“The attention of the media team of Mascot Uzor Kalu has been drawn to news making round that the house of representative member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Ossy Prestige attracted the federal government to construct Uratta road through the ecological fund office in the presidency. Where as the truth is that no provision was made for the said Uratta road in the budget but he wants credit for what he did not do. This is an APC administration by President Buhari, of which Hon. Ossy Prestige has never spoken good things about to our people but misleads us with projects which do not exist. Where was Hon. Ossy Prestige when committed Representatives were capturing projects that will uplift the life of their constituents? He was in far away China doing his Okrika importation business instead of offering effective representation to his constituents, hence the project in question was not captured in the budget.”
“In extension, our people who are also into this Okirika business that saw Ossy’s entrance into government as a betterment to the running of their business. They thought he will enforce better policies to favor the people in his former field, but Ossy also failed them. Maybe we will ask them this pertinent questions. Was your importation duties decreased or increased? Have you felt better in the business?”
“I think it is time we stand up and start investing in our own people.”
