There was pandemonium at Korinya City of Konshisha LGA, Benue state in early hours of today.
Igbere TV gathered that the city was thrown into turmoil as groups locked horns on who and who to dominate the town.
According to CHIRZEDAN Peter who shared the report with Igbere TV correspondent, ”The crisis started sometimes last year because of who and who to control market levies and other sundry issues. However due to the intervention of family members and other relevant authorities, we were able to contain the crisis.”
“Just this morning while I was away for a crucial APGA meeting, I was called and informed that the crisis has resurfaced which led to the lost of Dasu’s son, my cousin popularly known as Dokee.”
“Now, my brothers are on ramp age burning houses of the other camp believed to responsible for the stabbing of Dokee. It has been reliably garnered that Oterry Utor’s house has been razed down completely.”
”Another death registered as about 4 houses burnt and properties worth millions of naira, destroyed.”
“As a reprisal attack, the gang loyal to Dokee and one Ukabaka who just died launched another deadly attack on the gang believed to have macheted the victims. They have gone on rampage burning down houses and destroying properties belied to have belonged to the other gang.”
“As I came back, I conducted myself round the town to ascertain the level of destruction caused. So far, four houses haven destroyed. The houses of Utor Shiwegh, Bigila Azege, Iorfer Kumba and the other yet to be identified gang member were razed down completely.”
“As I went round, people were running for their safety and the few I met around spoke in hushed tones to empty streets and the quite environment.”
“Commercial activities are currently at a stand still as all shops and business activities were closed down as people are afraid of the unknown as regards what will happen next”.
