A renowned philanthropist, lawyer, businessman, and a House of Representatives Candidate of All Progressives Congress, for Bende Federal Constituency, Barrister Benjamin Kalu has continued his kind gesture towards his people by constructing new roads.
Igbere TV gathered that there is an ongoing construction of Bende road, at the headquarters of Bende LGA by Benjamin Kalu Foundation (BKF).

Igbere TV learnt that Instead of waiting for the government to construct the road, the director of programs and projects, Hon Emmanuel Trump Eke, secured an approval from the founder of BKF, Barrister Benjamin Kalu, to commence the fixing of this all important road to the Bende LGA head quarters, a gateway to other parts of Abia North and a road ignored by the PDP government despite being used by all their office holders and National Assembly members to get home and to their constituents.
According to report, this portion of the road has been bad for ten years with no attention and the under bridge was about collapsing until the intervention of BKF.
Igbere TV reports that 60 trips of laterite have been dropped by heavy trucks and other machines waiting to move in to save this road from collapse.
Benjamin Kalu Foundation has also executed similar projects in various Bende LGA communities including using funds from the foundation to fix the Umuimenyi Nkpa bridge a while ago, making it motorable.
Youths of Bende Federal Constituency, who spoke with IGBERE TV expressed confidence that Kalu will do more if elected in 2019 General Election.
“These initiatives by the BKF have been seen by we the people of Bende as a sign that Chief Benjamin Kalu cares for the community and that at the appropriate time he will attract more to help our Bende . He has proven to be a selfless passionate leader that loves the people.”
“It is true one cannot appease everyone at the same time especially when the finances is coming from one’s private business and not public funds but as far as purposeful performance is appraised, Barr Benjamin Kalu has outperformed his likes, including those currently occupying government positions. Little wonder the Bende youths we met at the site confessed their loyalty and support for BenKalu 2019.”
