Following the release of candidates contesting for 2019 Governorship election in Ebonyi state, David Nweze Umahi’s Camp is panicking, Igbere TV has learned.
Igbere TV gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Ebonyi State chapter on Friday announced the participation of 34 governorship candidates in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in Ebonyi State, Prof. Godswill Obioma, made this known while briefing journalists in Abakaliki, Capital of Ebonyi State.
Prof. Obioma noted that a total of 34 political parties and candidates are to participate in the 2019 governorship election in the State.
However, the major contenders in the list included, Chief David Umahi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Sunny Ogbuoji of the All Progressive Congress, APC and Barr. Ndubuisi Chibueze-Agbo of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
He also stated that a total of 310 candidates are for state House of Assembly which according to him were filed by 33 political parties.
