The Abia State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is currently on fire as member representing Arochukwu-Ohafia federal constituency at the national assembly Honorable Uko Nkole has lambasted the Senator representing Abia North, Mao Ohuabunwa over constituency projects.
Hon. Nkole challenged Senator Ohuabunwa to show what he has used the constituency funds(N200m per annum plus other allocations) appropriated by the federal government since 2015 – 2018 to do.

Nkole, who was reacting to misconceptions about who attracted projects currently ongoing in the constituency, warned Senator Ohuabunwa to stop dancing around his projects but provide verifiable docments and correspondences from Agencies of Government” for proper clarification.
The legislator also disclosed that “Part of our legislative privilege is the mandatory attraction of the Yearly constituency Project where as a member I nominate statutorily 150million naira envelop worth of projects in the annual budget for the constituency for execution by Federal Government while himself a senator statutorily has over 200 million naira for same purpose, which he has collected since 2016.
Mine shows a clear path where a town hall meeting was held and all the component community nominated projects I have implemented or under Implementation in line with releases by government to the respective agencies and contractors were brought to the fore. They include,

I made three sources of funding for the bridge
I.constituency project of 30 million naira from AROCHUKWU-OHAFIA federal constituency fund
2.FERMA 30 Million naira UNDER AROCHUKWU OHAFIA federal constituency.
3.50 MILLION naira ANAMBRA IMO RIVER BASIN AUTHORITY, ABIA NORTH project.
According to Nkole, “Last check reveals that all the contracts awarded under AROCHUKWU OHAFIA are active including the Omenuko under Arochukwu Ohafia federal constituency, while the contract for Ndi ebe under Abia North was awarded to Senator Mao’s younger Brother who has done nothing since early this year when it was awarded as findings from Ndi Ebe community revealed that Senator Ohuabunwa could not get funding to execute, while all the three under Arochukwu-Ohafia federal constituency, which are Igwu Ozu Bridge at the cost of 200 million naira through the FMWPH, Ndi ebe bridge Arochukwu Ohafia at the cost of 30 million naira through the BCDA and the NDI EBE 30 Million naira FERMA project are all active.
He stated further that “ABIA NORTH
NDI EBE BAILEY BRIDGE of 50 Million naira UNDER ANAMBRA IMO RIVER BASIN IS NOT ACTIVE and asked if “this shows competence and capacity in to his office and claims?”
