In his words,

“Osisioma Pipeline Fire: A Tragic Loss
I received with shock the news of the Osisioma pipeline fire in the early hours of Friday in which over 30 of our patriots lost their lives in most gruesome and painful manner.”

“This to say the least is both tragic and sad especially at a time the authorities have steadily recorded huge success in curtailing incidents such as this to ensure the safety of citizens across the country.”

“My heart goes to the family, friends, well wishers and relatives of those who lost their lives in this ugly incident. It is my earnest prayer that God will give them the fortitude to bear this great loss. And to those who sustained various degrees of injuries, may God Almighty perfect your healing in the shortest possible time.”

“I call on caregivers and hospital authorities within Abia state where the victims are being treated to do all within their reach to ensure that the death toll in this disastrous occurrence does not continue to rise. Adequate measures must be put in place to ensure that surviving victims get the best of medical attention.”

“The agencies of government whose mandate it is to respond to emergency situations such as this should as a matter of urgency mobilise relief materials to all families who have suffered any form of casualty in this disaster to carter for their immediate needs.
I once again express my condolences and pray that God will help them overcome this irreparable loss”
