Revealed!!! One Month Old Nigeria Baby Serving Prison Sentence With The Mother (PHOTOS)
In most prisons of the world, when a woman gives birth, her baby is taken away within 48 to 72 hours and sent to either a relative or foster care,But in Nigerian reverse is the case.
An appeal has been made to the federal government to ensure that innocent babies are not made to suffer for the sins or punishment of their mothers.
This appeal was made by Evangelist Christian Chukwuka, the owner of Abounding Grace Foundation, who paid a visit recently to some women in a prison in the eastern part of the country.
The evangelist was left shocked after seeing a one month-baby identified as Onyedika who was thrown in jail along with the mother after her sentencing.
The evangelist asked, “are babies supposed to serve prison sentence with their mother or be kept in motherless babies’ home or with their relatives outside until mother is released”.
Some items and cash were given to the mother to take care of her baby as it was also revealed that there are many mothers who are serving their sentences along with their babies in the prison.
