Ahead of the primary elections scheduled this weekend and next week, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has debunked the allegation by some sections of media that the name of former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and other party members are not in the party register.

Speaking with newsmen Saturday night in Umuahia, the Abia state APC publicity secretary, Comrade Godson Benedict laughed at the news, wondering how the names of the leader of the party in the state will be missing in the party’s register. Godson insisted that it was “a misinformation as such a statement did not emanate from the party.”
“The party is best placed to tell whose names are in the party and whose names are not.”

On the forthcoming primaries, the state PRO said “the state party caucus & leadership is meeting to take a decision and would brief the press on the outcome.”
