BREAKING!!! PDP Postpones Guber Primaries in Imo, Lagos, Kano Indefinitely

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has made clarifications on the news of latest postponement of its primary election slated for this weekend.

 

In a press statement Saturday night signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan and sent to IGBERE TV, PDP said the governorship primaries will hold on Sunday, 30th of September 2018 as schedule except in Lagos, Imo and Kano stateS.

Ologbondiyan explained that the guber primaries in those states have been shifted indefinitely and a new date or dates will be announced soon.

 

The statement reads in part…

 

“The attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has just been drawn to rumour making the rounds that the PDP scheduled gubernatorial primary has been postponed.

“The PDP wishes to inform all delegates, members of our great party and aspirants for the gubernatorial election that the scheduled date for the primary remains Sunday, September 30, 2018.

“However, the gubernatorial primary election dates for Lagos, Kano and Imo states would be announced soon.

The PRO concluded by charging the general public and party members to disregard any information to the contrary.
