Ahead of 2019 general elections, youths under the aegis of ‘PDP Grassroot Mobilization’ in Abia state has vowed to come out in their numbers to protest against automatic ticket.
The youths in a letter sent to Abia state PDP chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo after they had a meeting at Villa Roy Hotels Umuahia, on 19th September 2018 revealed that their upcoming massive protest will hold on 21st September 2018.

The group said the issue of automatic ticket is causing disaffection and crisis in PDP as some members of the party have dumped the party and moved to opposition parties.
The group also in the letter noted that if the issue of automatic ticket is not addressed, many people will dump the party in few weeks to come.
