"How I Would Have Been Used To Spiritually Boost Someone's Hustle. Be Careful!"

From a reader:

It was 2016; I had just completed my degree program from the University and awaiting posting to my place of service by the the federal government when I got a call from a friend way back from secondary school.

It was 2016; I had just completed my degree program from the University and awaiting posting to my place of service by the the federal government when I got a call from a friend way back from secondary school.

(for the sake of anonymity of this friend, I would be referring to him as AdeMusaChukwu) AdeMusaChukwu got himself in some trouble which he tried to rope me in(although from his own perspective, he was trying to do me a favour) while we we’re in SS1; Unfortunately for him, he got expelled few weeks later in the heat of the controversy. Since then, I had not heard from AdeMusaChukwu until the end of my University days.

A week before I got a call from him, he added me on Facebook. I must confess I was ecstatic when I saw his request because he was a friend I had not heard from in years. So I added him up immediately; I then took time to peruse through his profile cause I had missed him much(no homo). During the course of my perusal, I noticed how much he had changed; some of his pictures were taking in a Range. I was really happy for him cause he had not let past circumstances have a bearing on his future; or so I thought.

While I was still exploring his profile on Facebook, my phone went off cause my battery was low. Few hours later after I had charged up my phone, I got a message from him on FB; we chatted for a while, reminiscing on the past. I could not help but ask how he achieved such a feat judging by his pictures on Facebook in a time like that He then confessed to me that he’s been into some business for a while and its really not been easy but he eventually had his big break, then got himself a Saloon car then a Range. I was intrigued as almost anyone would! As at then, I had stopped receiving pocket money from home because I was done with school, I was so broken if you know what I mean.

I then went ahead to ask him to show me the way and on how ready I was to work the work irrespective of the stress since he confessed the work wasn’t really easy for he himself. He was like he really doesn’t like to tell people about how he manages his life but he was going to put me through based on the level of friendship we had. At this point, I was already calculating on whether I would be getting my new ride from Cotonou or just settling for a brand new Nigeria one cool

We then agreed to meet at his place to discuss further. He’s place was a bit far from mine but I didn’t have any problem spending the money since he was going to let me in on some vital success information. I was already thinking of which of my bank accounts I’d be using as my business account as soon as I start the business he was going to tell me about.

I stepped out all enthusiastic and refreshed two days after our discussion in the morning to journey down to his place. It was quite a long ride coupled with the whole Lagos hustle; in fact it was the longest ride of my life within Lagos but I didn’t mind! ‘Babatunde, nothing good comes easy’ I said to myself. I also gained solace in the fact that he said he was going to pick me up with his Range once I got to the estate gate of where he resides.

I put a call to him informing him that I was waiting after getting to the estate gate where he resides. About 2 vehicles identical to the one I saw him in on his profile on Facebook exited the estate gate leaving me wondering if he had unintentionally drove past me.

After about 10mins waiting for him, I saw someone with MusaChukwu’s stature from a distance . ‘That definitely can’t be AdeMusaChukwu’ I said to myself. As the distant figure approached, lo and behold it was AdeMusaChukwu!

We got to his apartment the same way I left my house, cruising our leg-edisBENZ

(at this point, I just want to remind you that’s I’m sharing this story with you guys not because I want to ridicule in anyway but to share a life lesson that could save someone too)

We entered his apartment; the entire sitting room was almost deserted save for the two cushion at the left hand side of the parlor and a piece of silk material on the window. His apartment was on the third floor of the building. At this point, all I could do was wonder
wonder why all I was seeing was in dissonance with the discussion of his better life.

”AdeMusaChukwu how far you na. Where you come go park your ride? You come leave me under sun since.’ He then went on to tell me how he had to do away with it cause he needed the money for something.

He then said he wanted to go get me a cold drink. He then went out to get it. I couldn’t help but to see inside his room from where I was sitting cause of the wind that was blowing his room curtain open.

On his bed was Laptop and a plain red cotton material. I suddenly became uneasy. He then came back with a cold plastic Pepsi which was already open. I asked him why he had to open his visitors drink jokingly, he apologized and said he had to take a sip since he was also tasty. He persuaded me to drink it while it was still cold. I collected it and told him I was going to save it for the road(The Pepsi didn’t leave the estate gate with me) .

He pleaded with me tirelessly to sleep over at his place and leave the next morning. I came with excuses I never even knew I could come up with on why I couldn’t. There was nothing he could say that would convince me otherwise.

After like 12mins at his place and reminiscing on past times, I told him I had to leave that time was far spent. He was seeing me off to where I’d get a transport back to my place when he opened up to me.

He told me how he had ventured into Yahoo some months after secondary school and how he had made quite a sum from it for a while but unfortunately, things weren’t as rosy as they used to be so he had met up with some people to put him through on how he could plus ➕ it (spiritualize)

I was already blasting in tongues in my mind. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

It was by first time ever having a road accident! I really
don’t know how I even got home that day but I know I did. I was lucky not to have sustained any injury but the rest of the journey was terrible.

I got home that day thinking of the very various ways I would have been used to spiritually boost up someone’s hustle shocked shocked I had never been more Thankful to God

Morals, I think I’d leave that to you guys to figure out yourself and if for some reason you can’t figure out one, please let me know so I’d include you in my prayers undecided smiley
