A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state Barr. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has wished Abians divine peace and called on God to perfect healings wherever failure exists in their lives.
In a statement to usher the people of God’s own state into the month of July, the Bende Federal Constituency aspirant also particularly called on the people of Bende to take active step in redefining their future, which according to him they have shown tremendous effort towards.
The statement reads: “The good people of God’s own state are all warmly welcome into the month of July. May peace heal the failures where any exist , in the past six months and hope for victories in the coming months inspire a total dependence on God to see us all through. It is better to put your trust in God than man and be anxious for nothing because He is an all sufficient God. He is God all by Himself. He needs no assistance to help you and better shall be the end of this year than the beginning thereof. He that has lifted you will not let you fall. He knows you by your name. Your family is safe in His arms , you are no more a slave to fear . Despite a the bad news around, He will not fail you.
“To my good people of Bende, as you all know we have a project at hand which is to redefine our future. It begins with each and every one of us. We should not give up till we have the right men on the saddle. You have shown tremendous zeal so far, which is indicative of the fact that you are committed to a brighter Bende.
“We must sustain this tempo and redouble our efforts through active participation in the process of exercising our civil rights especially as the 2019 historic election is just by the corner. I call on you to help your community, church, school, unions to register as many voters as possible . Stop calling it “their party’s business” , it is not about any party it is about community development. To get more polling units, you need more PVCs , to get more wards you need more Polling units, to get more Local Governments Areas, you need more wards. Social infrastructures are always distributed based on the number of people captured within a specific geographic location. The less you are the less you will get from the Government whole reverse is the case.
“The onus lies on us to effect a change our children will thank us for. We must not allow those who have no business being at the helm of affairs to continue to perpetrate a self serving agenda that has left you robbed, cheated and shortchanged for years. We must all collectively reverse this ugly trend and ensure your share of our common patrimony gets to you.
“As we press forward for a better Bende, may God in His infinite mercy give us the enablement, strong desire and encouragement to do that which is right for our people”.
