A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ubila Ututu in Arochukwu local government area of Abia State, Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke has congratulated Nigerians for giving our democracy oxygen through active participation in political affairs.

The Chairman Swiss Spirit Hotel Ltd in a Press statement to mark this year’s democracy day scored Nigerians high for the courage and boldness they have mustered in challenging what he called era of impunity, rigging and imposition in our governance.

The statement which was sent to IGBERE TV reads in part…

“I congratulate Nigerians in general and Abians in particular for being active Stakeholders in our democratic journey. This without any iota of doubt has helped in deepening the roots of our our democracy.

“Your resilience, boldness and courage has shown those who are bent on killing our democracy through rigging, imposition and general impunity the exit door. We now have a say on who becomes our leader at various levels. We now speak and our voices heard through the ballot system. This journey has come with several challenges which I’m sure the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is working hard to fix.

“The Aegean stable of the past 16 years will not be wiped away over night. That is why all Nigerians no matter their political and religious affinities must keep on supporting the president as he brings us visible dividends of democracy.

“The President has achieved visible milestones in the fight against corruption, insecurity and in improving the economy. These indispensable achievements are there for all to see”.

The MD/CEO Express Concerns Group also took a swipe on Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu led government in Abia state for not doing enough to alleviate the sufferings of Abians. He also expressed optimism that come 2019, APC will take over Abia governance to address myriad of challenges facing the state.
