Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation Visits Isu Community In Arochukwu, Delivers Relief Materials And Prayed For Displaced Persons(Photos)

Following the boundary dispute between the Ihie Isu community in Arochukwu LGA of Abia and its neighbouring community, Utuma in Biase Local Government area of Cross River State, the former Abia State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu through his, Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, on Monday visited the community and delivered relief materials to the affected people who were displaced from their homes as a result of the clash that left not fewer than 10 people dead.
Dr. Kalu who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Rev Mrs. Jemimah Ola Kalu, sympathised eith the displaced people of Ihie Osu, Arochukwu Local Government Area and donated food items, clothing and cash gift.

The people thanked Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation for the timely intervention and pleaded with the chairman Dr. Orji Kalu to help call on the federal government to come to their aide and calm the unrest.
Recall that Dr. Kalu who is currently outside the shore of Nigeria had sued for peace and unity among the two communities.
Speaking on Sunday in Beijing, China, during a meeting with a cross-section of business persons of Nigerian origin, Dr. Kalu charged the political class to live up to expectations in times of need of their constituents.
He regretted that the recent border clash resulted in the loss of lives and property worth millions of naira.
The former governor who condemned the menace, urged the National Assembly, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), National Boundary Commission, security agencies and other stakeholders to work out modalities to restore peace and stability to the affected communities and prevent recurrence.
