The General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Warrior for Christ Mission Lagos, Prophet Dr. Solomon Ajao (JP), has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to present a younger candidate instead of seeking reelection in 2019. Ajao gave the advice while speaking on the state of the nation and polity at the headquarters of the church.
He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) had already achieved the objective in the mind of God by climbing to power on the ineptitude of past leaders. The best option for the ruling party in 2019, he maintained, is for Buhari to step down for a younger presidential candidate.
He also advised the APC not to discard Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yet because Nigeria still needs him. Ajao called on the President to stop the incessant herdsmen attacks, warning they should not be allowed to fester to another civil war.
He also advised the Minister for Works, Power and Housing Raji Fashola to be careful with his elevation in national politics to forestall future political ambitions. Ajao told Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to be wary of sycophants interested in destroying his good works. He said the governor will perform even better by learning not to listen to praise singers.
The cleric appealed to Governor Abiola Ajimobi to reconcile with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji and settle outstanding salaries and allowances of civil servant as well as pensioners immediately.
He said Ajimobi will live longer if he begs Olubadan and makes up with the paramount ruler against the backdrop of their disagreements over the Ibadan chieftaincy amendment saga.
