APC Chieftain Mercilessly Beaten In Ebonyi State (Photos)

By Wisdom Nwedene

Reports reaching Igbere TV  indicate that thugs attacked former Commissioner of works in Ebonyi State, Engr. Dr. Paul Okorie.

According to the reports, the former Commissioner for works in Ebonyi State who has also held several positions since the creation of the State was disgraced by thugs said to be loyal to Governor David Umahi.

He was reportedly attacked at a meeting in Ugwulangwu when he and other APC stakeholders attended a meeting to plan for their rally billed for this Friday.

It was alleged by eyewitneses and recounted by one of the survivors that one Ogbonnaya Ene Odii- a PDP ‘official’ thug leader and DC Coordinator who is said to have been notorious for political violence in Ohaozara led a group of fellow PDP thugs to unleash mayhem on him and 4 others while the rest fled.

They were reported to have used pump-action guns to hit their victims severally, wounding many and leaving them in their pool of blood.

Igbere TV  learnt that Engr. Okorie has interest in Engr. Umahi’s job in 2019 as he did express same in 2015. He is one of the opponents that one thug popularly known in Ebonyi State as ‘Chopper’ and his cohorts had vowed to stone publicly.
