The president and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has appointed renowned magnate and activist Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe as a board chairman; one of over 200 recently appointed, following a statement released by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Chris Baywood was appointed as the Chairman for the Nigerian Institute For Oil Palm Research (NIFOR) Benin – a position the business mogul has shown appreciation for, promising a steadfast growth and significant uplift in the research and production of oil palm in the country, to benefit the Nigerian citizens and the country at large.
Expressing his vision with his newly assumed position, the President Baywood Continental Ltd wrote on social media; “The restitution of Nigeria as a nation has been a goal I’ve always worked indefatigably towards materializing – and as the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute for Oil Palm Research, Benin, I solemnly assure the people of this great nation; there would be significant progression. Palm oil is one of our country’s most imperative utilitarian resources, and I will work towards the conservation of this beautiful resource we’ve been blessed with.”
Chris Baywood Ibe made headlines a few months back, after announcing plans to provide medical care for over 10,000 people in Enugu, under his company’s Baywood Foundation; an NGO established by the philanthropist with the sole purpose of bettering the lives of Nigerians.
Chris Baywood has consistently described his goal to make a formidable impact in the lives of Nigerians and the country at large as his priority and with this appointment; he would be able to further fulfill the projected goals for the benefit of the country.
