Python Dance: We're Monitoring Situation in Nigeria - UN

The chairman/founder of Nigerian Young Professionals Forum (NYPF), Mr Moses Siloko Siasia has revealed that the United Nations is interested in the Nigerian Military’s Operation Python Dance II in the southeast.

Siasia, a former governorship candidate in Bayelsa state disclosed this via a tweet on Tuesday, September 12.

Siasia who is also the chairman of Mosilo Group, a wholly indigenous company, claimed to have received a call from the United Nations office in New York on the Nigeria’s military action.

He was however silent on who called him and what the caller talked about.

As at the time of publishing this report, Siasia’s tweet had gotten 236 retweets and 87 likes.

Moses is the younger brother of Samson Siasia, the former Nigerian international footballer and coach of the Super Eagles.

The first phase of the Operation Python Dance started on November 27, 2016 and ended on December 27, 2016.

Operation Python Dance II started on Sunday with military attempted invasion of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu’s Palace.

Since the beginning of this military operation, over 30 IPOB members have been reported killed by the soldiers with scores wounded.

The Abia State government, yesterday declared a 6-6 Curfew in the commercial city of Aba to checkmate escalation of the tensed security setuation.
