THE Honourable Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola SAN, has resigned following the reported death of no fewer than 30 persons watching the Europa League football match between Manchester United and Anderlecht in Calabar on Thursday evening.
According to a statement by the office of the Minister, the former Minister took full responsibility for the incident. He offered apologies to Nigerians on the sad event and condoled with families and friends of the deceased.
A panel has been set up to probe the incident. Observers say that heads of relevant parastatals in the ministry may lose their positions.
