Donald Trump, American president says he only gets about four or five hours sleep each night because he always work long hours

While Nigerians are currently embroiled in controversies concerning the health status of President Buhari who had initially gone on a 10-day vacations since February 10, Donald Trump, America’s president says he only gets about four or five hours sleep each night because he always work long hours.

According to the billionaire president who is always fond of tweeting at all hours of the night, he typically works until midnight or 1am, then wakes up at 5am to eat, read newspapers and check the television.

Trump admitted that he was surprised at ‘the size, the magnitude of everything’ and being president can be a ‘surreal experience in a certain way’ because there is so much work to be done.

He says: “You have to get over it because there’s so much work to be done.”

He added that: “While I eat, I read the papers; I see what’s going on television.”

However, according to Daily Mail, some leaders regard lack of sleep as a sign of strength and character.

When the famous Napoleon Bonaparte was asked how many hours sleep people need, he was alleged to have replied: ‘”six for a man, seven for a woman, eight for a fool.'”

Winston Churchill, the British prime minister who stood against the brute force of Adolf Hitler was said to have survived only on four hours a night during the Second World War.

The great Margaret Thatcher was also reputed to only survive on just four hours of sleep each night.

America’s former President Bill Clinton claimed he could function on four or five hours a night.

In 2014, at a G20 summit in Australia, Vladimir Putin, President of Rusia said he only needed four hours of sleep before getting back to Moscow and resuming work.

Meanwhile, the federal government revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari is hale and hearty and not seriously ill as some Nigerians have been speculating.

The president’s letter to the National Assembly has fuelled speculation that the president is ill while there have been rumours that he has died although this has been refuted several times by his media aides.

In this interview, Bill O’ Reilly of fox news speaks to President Trump a different issues affecting America and the world at large.
