An aged man, popularly known as Abudu Abudu, has been reported dead moments after casting his vote in the ongoing general elections at the Methodist Primary polling station in the Kintampo North District in Brong Ahafo Region.
The incident has thrown voters into pandemonium as it caused the voting exercise to be temporarily halted.
Residents were also thrown into shock as he was reported to have been in a healthy condition earlier in the day.
DAILY POST gathered that Abudu had gone to the polling station at dawn to queue for his turn to vote.
Sadly, soon after he cast his ballot, he was heard complaining of heart pains.
In the process of screaming for help, concerned persons on the queue rushed to his aid before he slumped.
He was taken to Kintampo Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
