TheMail reports that Governor Udom Emmanuel has nominated Barr Ibanga Akpabio for the position of Commissioner in the state executive council. Ibanga Akpabio is currently serving as Deputy Chairman of PDP in Akwa Ibom State.
Akpabio was the Secretary of the State PDP when Senator Godswill Akpabio was governor.
TheMail also reports that Barr. Victor Daniel Bassey has equally been nominated for the position of Commissioner.
The governor on Monday forwarded the names to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. The names which were read on the floor of the House on Tuesday have been forwarded to the House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights and Public Petitions for appropriate action.
As at the time of this report, the names of the commissioners to be replaced are yet to be made known.
